
Megan Flanagan is the executive director of the Urban Land Institute’s Minnesota District Council. In that role, she has the privilege of working with 550 local cross-sectoral members who are dedicated to ULI’s mission of shaping the built environment for positive impact. Megan has more than 20 years of nonprofit experience in associations, performing arts administration, and downtown development. Prior to joining ULI, career highlights included producing an animated PSA covering gift card fraud; raising funds for a 135-foot tall mural spanning both sides of 8 silos in downtown Mankato, MN; and opening a municipal performing arts center. She grew up in a military family and has lived in 13 states and 2 European countries, but now considers herself a proud Minnesotan. Megan holds the Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives. She and her husband have 3 teenage and young adult sons.
